What we believe?

Our denominational logo, seen on the right of the page, portrays an unmoveable rock firm in the midst of a turbulent sea. On that rock an open Bible has been placed. Above the Word of God and the turbulence below hovers the Dove- representing the Holy Spirit. We believe that God’s gracious, creative, life-giving Word and renewing power is unmoveable. His thoughts and the good news in Jesus Christ is revealed to us through His written Word. The life giving power, is God’s Holy Spirit. The writing underneath the logo reads, in Welsh, “Goleuni y bywyd”- which translated means “The light of Life.”

Our consistent prayer is that the Holy Spirit will continue to illumine the Scriptures each time we meet, and each time people across the world gather around God’s Word !

The Presbyterian Church of Wales Confession of Faith

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator and Ruler of all things.

We believe in Jesus Christ. His only-begotten Son, our Lord and Saviour. Through His Life, His death on the Cross, and His Resurrection, He overcame sin and death, forgiving our sins and reconciling us to God.

We believe in the Holy Spirit. Through Him Christ dwells in those who believe, sanctifying them in the truth.

We believe in the Church, the Body of Christ and the fellowship of the saints, in the Holy Scriptures and in the Ministry of the Word and the Sacraments.

We believe in the coming of the Kingdom of God and in the blessed hope of the eternal through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him for ever.
